FAQs on Bachelor of Interior Design
I can see that you offer degree and diploma courses in interior design. How can I select a course?
The course can be selected by looking into how quickly you want to become an interior designer. If the intention is to become an interior designer sooner than later, then diploma will be the best option. But if you are looking for a graduate degree along with sound training, the only option is doing a degree course, which we are offering at Cindrebay as BID, Bachelor of Interior Design under Calicut University.
What is the difference between the job opportunities of Diploma and job prospects of Bachelor of Interior Design (BID)?
The main difference is that organizations would prefer to employ a graduate as the first preference. A having spent 3 years in education would always be seen as a more complete one and will always have an edge over the diploma holders. Even though there are exceptional cases, usually a diploma holder will find positions in smaller organizations and will have much less preference among good companies. A graduate will be approached by big companies with solid pay package. But at the end of the day the quality of your work, the versatility of your portfolio and your communication and presentation skills all matter. A more talented person even with a diploma and a good portfolio would be chosen over someone with just a degree certificate only. The bottom line is in areas design, where talent and skill matter most, the quality of your works speaks louder than the degree or diploma that you hold.
