The 15th of July 2025 was a landmark day at Cindrebay School of Design, marked by two remarkable events: INITTA 2025—the induction and invocation ceremony for our newly joined students—in the morning, and the 2025 Convocation Ceremony in the afternoon.The day beautifully reflected the essence of Cindrebay’s philosophy — welcoming new creative minds while celebrating the achievements of our graduating stars.

Morning Session – INITTA 2025: Welcoming a New Creative Journey

The day began with INITTA 2025, the official induction for the newly enrolled cohort at Cindrebay’s Calicut campus. Designed to familiarise the fresh batch with Cindrebay’s culture, values, and creative spirit, the session was both inspiring and energising.

The event was graced by eminent personalities from diverse creative and professional backgrounds:

The event commenced with a Welcome Speech by Ms. Ashwathi Warrier, Senior Manager – Operations, Cindrebay, followed by an inspiring Director’s Address by Ms. Swapna Makkath, Executive Director, Cindrebay.

The morning also featured felicitations for alumni from previous batches, celebrating the strong Cindrebay community. Scholarship exam winners and CINDAT 2025 (Cindrebay Design Aptitude Test) toppers were honoured for their outstanding achievements.

The morning session concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ar. Rambha Gururaj, Principal, Cindrebay, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries and participants for making the event a memorable beginning to the academic year 2025.

Afternoon Session – Convocation 2025: Honouring Excellence

The afternoon witnessed the Convocation Ceremony 2025, a proud moment celebrating the achievements of graduating students from Interior Design, Fashion Design, and Animation & VFX disciplines.

The ceremony began with a Welcome Address by Ms. Rohitha Elizabth Varghese, Senior Faculty & Academic Coordinator, followed by the Principal’s Address by Ar. Rambha Gururaj, highlighting the journey of the graduating batch at Cindrebay.

The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Muhammed Shahin Thayyil, Head of the Department of Physics, University of Calicut, and Guest of Honour, Mr. Shajil U.K., Kerala State Best Teacher Awardee (2021), Teacher & Research Scholar, Department of Bioscience & Engineering, NIT Calicut, shared inspiring words that resonated deeply with the graduates.

The Ceremony Included the felicitation for Outstanding Students – recognising academic excellence and creative brilliance. Prof. Dr. Muhammed Shahin Thayyil and Mr. Shajil U.K. proudly distributed certificates to the graduating students, celebrating their hard work and accomplishments.Graduates captured their proud moments with the Chief Guests, faculty, peers, and families, marking a beautiful conclusion to their journey at Cindrebay.

CINDREGALA 2025 – Inter-Branch Fashion Show

Adding a vibrant finale to the day, Cindrebay hosted CINDREGALA 2025, an inter-branch fashion show contest that showcased the creativity, innovation, and teamwork of students from different campuses. The show brought the stage alive with stunning concepts, bold designs, and energetic performances — a true reflection of Cindrebay’s spirit of design and collaboration.

Closing Ceremony

The eventful day concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Swapna Makkath, Executive Director, Cindrebay, appreciating the efforts of students, faculty, and guests who made INITTA & Convocation 2025 a grand success.

A Day to Remember

From welcoming new designers to celebrating accomplished graduates, July 15, 2025, stood as a symbol of growth, creativity, and community at Cindrebay.
