What does it mean that Cindrebay is affiliated to a university?

It means that Cindrebay School of Design has met all the criteria (quality assurance) that the university ( Bangalore University) stipulated in order to receive an accreditation status. Students completing interior design courses from Cindrebay School of Design will hold Degrees and Diplomas from a recognized university.

I am not sure whether I should pursue my BSc or a Diploma in Interior Design?

If you are not sure about interior design as a career, then starting out with a diploma is a good course of action. This way you can get an overview of the core subjects of interior design, learn about the industry, and then decide if it is something that you are interested in investing more of your time, resources and energy in. On the other hand, if you are passionate about interior design and see yourself in the field, then BSc is the way to go. Each semester unlocks a new facet of interior design. By the time you complete the course, you will have an in-depth understanding of the field and also be ready to practice interior design.

What are the criteria to do an interior design course at Cindrebay?

You need to have successfully completed your XII Std or 10+2 examinations and scored a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.

I am not good in drawing, will I still be able to do this interior design course?

Yes. You need to possess a basic skill in drawing. A large portion of the architectural drawings are technical and require specific measurements. These drawings are undertaken with computer software and specific instruments.

Do I need to do any test to qualify for the course?

You need to complete the Cindrebay Design Aptitude Test which takes place in the end of May or beginning of June. You will need to do this test in the specified Cindrebay campus. The Design Aptitude Test is a basic test designed to determine your drawing skills; observation, sense of proportion and balance, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking. The test will also assess your proficiency in the English language.

What is the procedure to get into Cindrebay?

Students who clear the Cindrebay Design Aptitude Test will be shortlisted for the next round. They will receive a link which allows them to register their details online. They will then need to come to the Cindrebay campus for a personal interview. On clearing the interview and paying their fees, the student will be admitted in Cindrebay School of Design’s Interior Design’s programme – BSc in Interior Design or Diploma in Interior Design.

Can I do the interior design course online or part time?

No. Both the courses, the BSc and Diploma in Interior Design are full time courses and students are expected to attend all classes. Students needs to secure a minimum 75% attendance in order to appear for the university exams.

Will I receive a separate certificate for completing Autodesk?

Yes. Students need to appear for the test conducted by Autodesk to be eligible for the certification. Cindrebay is an authorized training and certification centre for Autodesk. We provide a separate certificate for all software courses once the students clear the Autodesk online examination.

Do you’ll offer placements to students who complete the course?

We have set up a placement cell and have a dedicated team that helps Cindrebay students get placed in the right job. Though we are well connected in the industry, students need to clear the company’s interview rounds and prove why they are the right candidate for the job.

Is it necessary to have 10+2 studies in science stream for doing Interior Design Course?

Not at all. The Candidate from any stream of 10+2 / higher secondary[BN1] education can do the BSc - ID (Bachelor of Interior Design) Course.

I tried to register online for The BSc - Interior Design course at Cindrebay website. But I couldn't find any details in that regard?

There is no provision to do the online registration for the aptitude test on our website. A student aspiring to do BSc - ID at Cindrebay may walk into our campus and obtain the prospectus for BSc - ID. However, students who stay at faraway places may submit an inquiry at the website by filling up the inquiry form given at the 'contact us' page. We will contact each such candidate and if necessary send them the link to do the online registration for CINDAT. Same question can be repeated in fashion also with the ID changed as Fashion

How do I apply for the course?

You can visit any of our Cindrebay School of Deisgn campus and apply in person or fill in the application form on our website. You will need to pass the Cindrebay Fashion Design entrance exam for your application to be considered.

What is the criteria to do a fashion design course at Cindrebay?

What is the difference between the BSc and diploma in fashion design?

The BSc is a full time course which takes 3 years to complete. The students get an in depth idea about fashion design and the syllabus is extensive. Students need to secure a minimum 75% attendance to appear for the university exams.

The diploma in fashion design is also a full time course which is spread across 14 months. The course is designed to give students and basic understanding of fashion design and moves on to individual and group classroom projects.

Does all the learning take place only in the classroom?

To ensure our students receive a thorough education, we organize field visits to centres of textile and garment production, museums and select arts and craft locations that will serve as inspiration while designing.

Do I need to draw well to be an animator?

No. We will teach you how to use all the relevant software and applications to bring your creations to life.

What are the criteria to do an animation course at Cindrebay?

How is Cindrebay different from other Animation schools?

At Cindrebay, we are entering the animation space at the right time. We’ve spent the last few years investing in equipment, software, and designed animaiton modules that teach students all the core componets of 2D and 3D animation, VFX, filmmaking, gaming, web and graphics design. We limit the number of students in each batch so that the faculty can give each student indiviudal attention. Faculty members are masters of their craft and have a passion for teaching. Our placement cell will ensure that students get connected with the right internships and jobs.

While we are focused on teaching students the A to Z of animation but we have our eye on the larger picture, preparing them for a career in animaiton.

Is there any age limit for taking admissions to this course?

There is no age limit for admissions to our courses. However for Degree courses the university’s existing rules for admission as to age limit etc. will apply. For any further information please check the respective University website.

When can I start the courses at Cindrebay?

Admissions to Degree courses happen once a year - during June – July months. The last date of admissions will be announced on our website and at college notice boards.

For Diploma courses we have a new batch starting every May, August, December, and March. You can register and choose the month to commencing your course. You can contact your nearest Cindrebay campus for admission information and our course coordinator will brief about the courses and registration process.

Does Cindrebay provide scholarships for students?

Yes, talented and deserving students are appreciated with scholarships. We believe finance should never be a stumbling block for talent. Also, we arrange financial aid through bank loans for the students. Students from Jammu and Kashmir and North Eastern states of India are given special scholarships called – National Integration Scholarships. Students from these regions can contact our course coordinator at our Bangalore campus for more information.

I have heard Cindrebay has given 100% placements to its students. This is unbelievable. Are you doing it?

Yes, we place all of our (100%) students who successfully complete their courses. By successfully completing a course we mean, students must have the following achievements - A minimum 80% attendance, timely submission of all mandatory drawing sheets, prompt submission of guest lecture reports and site visit reports. Students' involvement and performance in material seminars, workshops, seminars, etc are watched and carefully for evaluation. Their performance is evaluated on a regular and continuous basis and scores are given monthly to help the students to better his/her performance in the next month. A student getting Cindrebay Certificate means he gets a job also. Our placement cell makes sure that none of the students who have successfully completed the course leave the college without a job placement.
