A structured, hands-on workshop designed to help aspiring interior designers explore creativity and methodology for building positive, growth-oriented living spaces.

This curated Interior Decor & Styling Master Course is designed to blend practical, hands-on training with creative exploration. Participants will engage in research, self-exploration activities, home decor store visits, case study site visits, art or cultural workshops, recreational sessions, and client-office management experiences.

The goal is to provide a seamless journey into embracing creativity, design thinking, and methodical planning—enriched with enthusiasm, mindfulness, and fun.

Course Duration & Schedule

Total Duration: 2 Months

Month 1

8 Sessions | 2 to 3 Hours Each | Over 1 Month
Each session is designed to provide foundational understanding followed by immersive self-exploration assignments. Students will submit weekly activity PDFs on the WASP group for peer review and feedback.

First Thursday | 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM (IST)

Introduction

  • Meet & greet
  • Ground rules and expectations

  • Aims and learning outcomes

Ideation

  • Understanding the ideation process in design
  • Exploring success through self-belief, adaptability and new learnings
  • The concepts of Ikigai, mindfulness and self-discovery
  • Designing one’s life:various influences
  • Self- awareness, discipline, and commitment to excel

First Friday | 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM (IST)

  • Overview of regular interior concepts and styles
  • Assignment: Style exploration through magazine reviews, local decor store visits, and self-styled photo documentation
  • PDF submission of findings due on the second Friday morning

Second Thursday | 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM (IST)

  • Assertive communication and active listening
  • Body language, tone, and professional writing etiquette
  • Conflict resolution styles (owl,turtle,teddy bear,shark,fox, etc.)
  • Daily notes, task management and realistic goal setting
  • Letting go of perfectionism – progress over perfection

Second Friday | 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM (IST)

  • Case study planning and client and site brief
  • Style curation: India Modern Classic, Global Cozy, and Modern Luxury
  • Furniture layout ideation
  • Assignment: Layout planning,Organising style-specific folders for upcoming offline curation
  • PDF submission of Activity 2 due on third Friday morning

Third Thursday | 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM (IST)

  • Finalised case study layouts
  • Understanding material selections and curation logic
  • Introduction to treatments: laminates, textures, wallpapers, soft furnishings, etc.
  • Assignment: Store visits, e-brochure collection, and material categorization

Third Friday | 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM (IST)

  • Concepts: Holistic, Biophilic, Sustainable & Therapeutic Design
  • Mindful practices in design
  • Journaling,meditation,gratitude practice
  • Emotional intelligence and innovation in spatial thinking
  • Self-guided worksheets and reflective exercises

Fourth Thursday | 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM (IST)

  • Delegation and skilling up
  • Financial literacy and time management
  • Learning through industry exposure and project documentation

Fourth Friday | 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM (IST)

  • Proposal formats and project documentation
  • Client interaction protocols
  • Fee structure strategies and project timelines
  • Contract documentation and flexible design workflows

Month 2

    Offline, in any one of the following cities:
    Bangalore or Hyderabad or Dubai
    (Why Dubai? Global design styles in a vibrant setting)
    (Why Hyderabad? Rich cultural heritage with top-notch interior stores)
    (Why Bangalore? Multiple Indian home decor stores, easily accessible in South India)
    (Why Delhi? High exposure to fashion-forward Indian and some global interiors)

7–10 full days visiting interior decor stores, case study sites, art/cultural workshops, and recreational activities

Participants revisit decor stores individually for 3–4 days (or more) to deepen learning and apply insights in preparing their official presentations

Submission of official presentation sheets and review

8–10 Days | 10 AM to 6 PM (IST)

Includes:

  • Residential case study site visits
  • Guided Home décor store tours
  • Style search for furniture,decorative accessories,statement lighting,wall art and soft furnishings along with treatment material planning

  • Evening recreation and real-world reflections
  • City-specific art/craft workshops or culture explorations

Note: Participants may optionally extend their stay for 3-4 days of independent store visits and exploration for curating an additional personal style for the same case study.
